Update on Cris Cyborg Justino Fighting at UFC 198
Fellow Brazilian Mauricio Rua will also feature as he faces the in-form Corey Anderson in a light-heavyweight contest. The event is headlined by a Fabricio Werdum vs. Stipe Miocic UFC Heavyweight Championship bout, which takes place on May 15 at Area de Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil.

Anderson Silva will likely get the opportunity to fight in his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil, as the former middleweight champion is expected to return against “Ultimate Fighter” finalist Uriah Hall at UFC 198 on May 14. The co-main will be a middleweight bout with title implications between Ronaldo Souza and Vitor Belfort.
Despite his illustrious career, Silva has fallen on rough times since losing his title to Chris Weidman at UFC 162 in 2013.
The UFC could’ve waited and put Silva on UFC 200 but with UFC 198 being stacked with top Brazilian stars it only made sense to add him to the card. Silva then suffered a grotesquely broken leg in the rematch in December. When he returned at UFC 183 against Nick Diaz, he won a unanimous decision – but tested positive for a pair of steroids and was suspended for a year.
Silva is fresh off a unanimous decision loss to Michael Bisping at UFC Fight Night in London in February.
Silva now holds several UFC records including the longest win streak in UFC history (16), which included a UFC title reign that lasted a company record six years, eight months and 22 days.

Fast forward three years and Hall will actually step into the Octagon with the man he was once compared to, the man many consider to be amongst the greatest mixed martial artists of all-time. Both fighters have a lot to gain from a win. News broke on Wednesday that the UFC is planning a fight between two of the best strikers in the sport, Anderson Silva and Uriah Hall.
