Uri terror attack: Home Minister reviews security situation

The assault instantly shifted the political scales – with some officials in New Delhi reviving accusations of Pakistan supporting terrorist groups. India could press for sanctions against Pakistan for providing safe haven to extremist groups.

Refuting unfounded and premature Indian allegations, Pakistani DGMO Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza asked his Indian counterpart to share any actionable intelligence.

Pakistan’s military businesses, many run underground as they are, provide a vulnerable bargaining chip for India, waiting to be exploited.
