“Jihadi John”, the jeering, sadistic masked mouthpiece of ISIS, may have been killed in a USA airstrike in Raqqa, Syria.

Cameron, speaking outside his residence in Downing Street, said the US strike against Mohammed Emwazi, a British citizen, was a combined effort between Britain and the United States and it was “an act of self-defence”.
British Prime Minister David Cameron is expected to make a statement on details of the attack later on Friday following reports from the U.S. that the American military was 99 percent certain that he was killed in a drone strike.
Another US official told CNN that Emwazi was in a vehicle at the time of the strike, which was launched from a drone. “The Prime Minister has said before that tracking down these brutal murderers was a top priority”.
In a Jeremy Kyle Show edition that aired on Friday morning, recorded before the strike on Emwazi was announced, she said: I remember I was just laying in bed on Instagram and er, I just saw the final picture.
“Dressed all in black with only his eyes and hands exposed, the ISIS figure first attracted notice last August, when he addressed the camera in fluent English before hostage James Foley, a USA journalist, was beheaded”.
The extremist appeared in a number of beheading videos, including those in which United Kingdom hostages Alan Henning and David Haines were killed. Extra judicial killing over justice in a court of law should not become the norm in fight against terrorism. “There is nothing he said or stood for which would justify his barbaric crimes and actions”.
Emwazi, who speaks English and is believed to be born in Kuwait, was frequently seen in hooded hostage videos carrying out violent beheadings.
Pentagon Press secretary Peter Cook said: “US forces conducted an airstrike in Raqqa, Syria, on November 12, 2015 targeting Mohamed Emwazi, also known as “Jihadi John”.

“We are assessing the results of tonight’s operation and will provide additional information as and where appropriate”.
