US Democratic debate: Clinton makes ‘Isis recruiter’ jibe at Trump
During Saturday night’s Democratic debate, Clinton said Islamic State is using Trump’s rhetoric to enlist fighters to radical jihad.

Mindful of the grassroots support she’ll need to fuel a general election bid should she capture the nomination, Clinton accepted his apology, instead, keeping her criticism carefully aimed at her GOP rivals – particularly businessman Donald Trump. She described the provocative billionaire as ISIL’s “best recruiter”.
O’Malley looked at how several US-backed regime changes caused chaos, such as Libya in 2011 when Clinton was secretary of state.
The campaign and the DNC reached a deal late Friday to restore access to the vital data. “Let’s create an America that works for all of us, not the handful on top”, said Bernie Sanders, who is seeking Democratic presidential nominee.
“We have systemic racism and injustice and inequities in our country, and in particular in our justice system, that must be addressed and must be ended”, Clinton said after moderator David Muir asked a question about the current state of race in America. Bernie Sanders’ campaign roiled the Democratic Party, a political truce between Hillary Clinton and Sanders largely held – even as Sanders’ aides seemed itching for a more aggressive confrontation with the front-runner.
The debate, the third for Democrats, was expected to have low viewership given that it was scheduled on the last weekend before Christmas, when many Americans have turned their attention to the holidays. Sanders also apologized earlier this year after his senior staffers publicly remarked that Clinton would make a good vice president.
The self-described Democratic socialist announced Sunday he passed President Obama’s fundraising record by besting his 2.2 donations from grassroots supporters – the most of any other White House hopeful at this point during a campaign.
Mr. Sanders toggled Sunday between contrition and disgust with how the DNC handled the incident, saying the organization leaked some information to the press and the Clinton camp before briefing him on what had gone wrong. Viewers saw Clinton’s empty podium when ABC News came back from its second commercial break. But they had heated exchanges on the economy, guns, tackling terrorists and the United States overseas.
Later in the interview with Trump on “This Week”, ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos cited some examples where Trump’s claims have been proven untrue, including that the September 11th attacks were celebrated in Jersey City, New Jersey.
“Getting rid of dictators is easy, but you have to think about what happens the day after”, he said. “Do you think that’s a coincidence?”
Jen Palmieri, communications director of the Clinton campaign, told Stephanopoulos that the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors the activity of terror organizations like ISIS online, “said that [terrorists] are using [Trump] in social media as propaganda to help recruit supporters”.
Saturday’s debate was the first for Democrats since the shooting in San Bernardino, California, where 14 people were killed by a married couple that authorities say had been radicalized.
Millionaire mogul Donald Trump, perceived by the former Secretary of State as the biggest threat, received a beating from Clinton for aggravating an already tense climate of Islamophobia in the U.S. and overseas.
