US Democratic presidential nominee Clinton diagnosed with pneumonia: says doctor

Less than two months from Election Day, it was an unwanted visual for Clinton as she tries to project the strength and vigor needed for one of the world’s most demanding jobs.

She has laughed off questions about her health, dismissing them as “conspiracy theories”.

Clinton left about 90 minutes into the ground zero ceremony after feeling “overheated”, her campaign said.

The incident quickly renewed attention on Clinton’s health.

The incident comes at an inopportune time for the Clinton campaign, which has been fighting Internet rumors about her health after a recent coughing spell which she laughed off by saying “Every time I think about (Donald) Trump I get allergic”.

Much of the whispering about Clinton’s health stems from her December 2012 concussion and ensuing blood clot during the closing days of her tenure at the State Department, Politico and other new sites reported.

The Clinton campaign downplayed the health scare. “During the ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better”.

Mrs. Clinton, who turns 69 next month, emerged from the NY apartment building about two hours later. She stumbles and appears to fall off the curb as she is helped to the vehicle. “On Friday, during follow up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia”, Dr Bardack, said in a statement. “She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule”.

The statement says Clinton became overheated at the 9/11 event and dehydrated, but is now rehydrated.

Dr. Lisa Bardack says in a statement that Clinton is “recovering nicely” after attending a September 11 anniversary event in lower Manhattan.

Pneumonia is a lung infection typically caused by germs or bacteria. She is due to fly to California on Monday and Tuesday for a series of fundraisers.

Later on, leaving her daughter’s apartment, Clinton was shown waving to onlookers and telling reporters: “I’m feeling great”. He said he was standing behind her during the remembrance and “she did not seem out of the ordinary at all”. Trump, who famously dines regularly on fast food, has said he gets most of his exercise from playing golf and speaking at a podium during his campaign rallies. He outlined many of Mrs. Clinton’s purported health issues and video of her displaying odd mannerisms to make the case that she is concealing an advanced stage of the neurological disorder.

The Clinton campaign provided the statement late Sunday afternoon after she was examined at her home in Chappaqua.

“Early in 2016, Hillary’s problems started to be really obvious”.

According to two Trump advisers, Trump made a decision to stay away from seizing on the Sunday incident, with the aim of bringing Clinton’s “deplorables” comments – for which she has expressed regret – back to the forefront of the campaign this week and avoiding any chance for Clinton to say that Trump was overstepping on the health front.
