US Election: After Health Fears, Hillary Clinton Hits Campaign Train Again

It says Mrs Clinton is in an excellent mental condition, and her health records show blood pressure and cholesterol within normal ranges. She was treated with Levaquin, an antibiotic, for 10 days.

The new letter from Clinton’s doctor stated that a chest scan revealed she had “mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia”. She found that Clinton was “re-hydrating and recovering nicely”.

Back on the campaign trail, a reflective Hillary Clinton said Thursday her three-day, doctor-mandated break gave her new perspective on why she’s running to be president.

The letter from Clinton’s doctor made no mention of her weight, a key part of any medical exam, nor did a similar letter released a year ago.

Triglycerides are a type of fat of found in blood, and as triglyceride levels increase, so does heart disease risk.

“These numbers suggest she’s a healthy 68-year-old woman with a very favorable cardiovascular risk profile”, said Dr. Mark Creager, director of the Dartmouth-Hitchkock heart and vascular center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, and a past president of the American Heart Association.

While Clinton emerged from her convention with the advantage in surveys in both states and nationwide, more recent surveys suggest a closer contest and an enthusiasm gap that tilts in Trump’s favor. A video showing her almost collapsing during the event soon went viral and led to her team admitting she had been diagnosed with pneumonia a couple days earlier. She’s been evaluated by Bardack several times since and her condition has continued to improve, according to the letter.

The Clinton campaign cancelled the remainder of the former secretary of state’s public events before revealing her diagnosis.

The CBS News/New York Times poll, released on Thursday, shows both Trump and Clinton have support of 42 percent.

The Republican Party’s presidential nominee appeared on The Dr Oz Show for what his campaign described as a chat about his general well-being and his family’s medical history. His only surgery was a molar teeth extraction. He takes no medications, though his doctor recommended he take a Vitamin D supplement, and has a family history of breast cancer and prostate cancer. Marc Lotter, a Pence spokesman, later said the IN governor will release information from a recent physical “quickly”.

“He’s always meant to do that”, Lotter told reporters.

Clinton has been off the trail since Sunday, attempting to recover from a case of pneumonia. “I don’t think so”.

The coughing also cut short an in-flight gaggle earlier this month, and Bardack wrote on Wednesday that Clinton takes allergy medicine to combat the issue.

Among a larger group of registered voters, Clinton leads Trump by 46 percent to 41 percent head-to-head but by just 41 percent to 39 percent in a four-way race.

There is no credible evidence to support any of these claims.

In an interview with CNN on Monday, Clinton dismissed the controversy. During an appearance last month on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, Clinton called the GOP claims about her health a “wacky strategy” and opened a jar of pickles to show her strength.
