Two female suicide bombers have struck a refugee camp in the northeastern state of Borno, killing at least 59 people.

“Suicide bombing suspected to be by Boko Haram killed 58, injured 78 in an IDP [Internally Displaced Persons] camp in Dikwa Borno State”, the agency tweeted on Thursday morning without giving further details.
Ki-moon reaffirmed the support of the United Nations to Nigeria in its fight against terrorism, and reiterates his call for a comprehensive approach to preventing and countering the scourge of terrorism, and addressing its root causes in compliance with worldwide humanitarian, human rights and refugee law.
Both parties are quite aware of this new strategy, the president confirmed this when he said that they (terrorists) no longer launch conventional attacks and that they remain a force only in Borno state.
“This was most recently reaffirmed to President Buhari when he met with European Union leaders earlier this month”.
Borno State Emergency Committee’s Ahmed also added that a third bomber refused to set off her explosives after reportedly realizing her family were in the camp.
Saraki, in a statement issued in Abuja by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Mr Yusuph Olaniyonu, condemned the recent attacks in IDPs’ camps by the Boko Haram insurgents. The last in Dalori IDP camp was on January 30 when over 86 people were confirmed killed.

An estimated 2.6 million people have been displaced from their homes due to violence in the area, and a million kids have been forced out of school.
