US Formally Recalls 1 Million Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Devices

Samsung announced the recall of their Galaxy Note 7 smartphone earlier this month, and now that recall is official.

With Samsung’s official recall of the Note7 now underway, carriers have started to lay out when their customers can expect replacement devices.

In the grand scheme of things, the number of affected devices compared to the 2.5 million that were sold worldwide is exceptionally small, but it’s Samsung’s handling of the recall that might have done the most damage.

The new Note 7 units are also expected to come with a small visual modification to allow consumers to differentiate between the new devices with the old faulty ones.
