US Military: No doubt Russia is responsible for aid convoy hit

US Secretary of State, John Kerry said on Thursday after a meeting with the International Syria Support Group (ISSG), “We can’t go out to the world and say we have an agreement, when we don’t”. If the agreement held, the USA and Russian Federation would begin military cooperation over Syria, where both are flying.

Top U.S. officials blamed Russia for the convoy bombing and say they tracked two Russian Su-24 jets from a base in Latakia to the site of the strike.

Russia’s foreign ninister Sergey Lavrov, left, and U.S. secretary of state John Kerry have failed to revive the Syria ceasefire.

That’s what they should accuse first: the people or the militants, the terrorists who are responsible for the security of this convoy.

“Without a major gesture like this, we don’t believe there is a point in making more promises” Kerry said, adding that if Russian Federation demonstrates that it is serious, the USA will work with the opposition to reciprocate and pull back from this cycle of escalation.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told reporters today he was “frustrated” that the cease-fire inside Syria, brokered last week by Russian Federation and the United States, had fallen apart but said he was “no less determined today than I was yesterday” to restore the cease-fire.

The ISSG meeting broke up with no new plan to salvage the ceasefire, but both USA and Russian officials floated the possibility of more Kerry-Lavrov talks on Friday.

NEW YORK (AP) – The United States and Russian Federation are taking their differences over the conflict in Syria to new heights, after trading ferocious allegations of duplicity and malfeasance at the United Nations Security Council. “We’ll see what people are willing to do”. The Pentagon said no drone was in the area at the time. “There have been attempts on the part of some of our colleagues to suggest that the government should take unilateral steps, but we insist that the opposition should also take the necessary steps and we have support of others on that”, Lavrov told reporters.

Kerry spoke immediately after Lavrov, whose comments underscored a breakdown in trust since the pair sealed the cease-fire agreement and potential U.S.

A Russian military spokesman said a US -led coalition Predator drone was in the area at the time.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also confirmed the intensification of raids on residential areas in eastern Aleppo, saying at least 14 people had been killed on Thursday, mostly civilians.
