US Open 2016: Murray peaking at right time – when Djokovic isn’t
“I try to compensate and improvise as much as I can and find the best ways of getting myself properly ready”.

The Serbian superstar, who saw his hopes of calendar-year Grand Slam end following a shocking defeat to American Sam Querrey in Wimbledon, however, confirmed that his personal problems had been resolved and that “life is going on like everything else”, news.com.au reported. ‘I’m in a position like everyone, we all have private issues that you have to encounter and need to overcome to evolve as a human being – that was the period for me.
After struggling in recent years and missing much of this season because of injuries, Janowicz is No. 228 in the world and used a protected ranking to get into the U.S. Open.
“Tennis isn’t the most important thing in my life anymore”, Murray said.
“Even when my ball toss is going haywire I’m not panicking about it, I’m just taking it a point at a time and it seems to be working”.
But despite the ups and downs, Djokovic said the Wimbledon loss may work in his favour.
Djokovic has endured a rollercoaster summer since completing the career Grand Slam by winning the French Open in June.
“The wrist hasn’t been in ideal shape for the last three-and-a-half weeks but I’m doing everything in my power to make sure I’m as close to 100 percent as possible during the course of this tournament, at least for the beginning of it”, Djokovic told reporters at Flushing Meadows on Friday.
He scratchily claimed the title in Toronto to follow, before a first-round loss at the Rio Olympics – this time battling a wrist injury – to Juan Martin del Potro.
Djokovic disclosed that he had been having “electricity treatments” for the injury, which mainly affects his backhand.
“I have not played a lot, I haven’t practised a lot, but I’m just now starting to feel a little better”, Williams said.
Djokovic, who has played in six of the last nine US Open finals and is the defending champion, remains the bookmakers’ favourite to win the tournament, which begins here on Monday, despite having to deal with an injury to his left wrist which forced him to pull out of last week’s Cincinnati Masters. “I’ve just got to do the best I can”, said Williams. “He goes for his shots and takes a lot of risks”. “Hopefully just every day I will keep going higher”. Now he can start to hit his normal forehand again, but it “still needs time to feel that I am more confident in my wrist”.

“I’m 29 and believe that I’m at a peak of my abilities as a tennis player”, said the Serb. There’s still a couple of days. “Then, when the tournament starts, all the doors are open”.
