Later, the sheriff, wearing civilian clothes, introduced Trump at the rally. On Thursday, Sen. Lindsey Graham said he would help Cruz’s fundraising efforts but stopped short of offering his endorsement to his senate colleague.

One Trump supporter yelled, “learn to speak English”. He took particular exception to a protester who donned a Ku Klux Klan-style hood.

“It’s easy for bullies like Sheriff Arpaio to pick on people who have no power, but if I’m elected president, the president of the United States does have the power”, Sanders said.

Anti-Donald Trump protesters blocked an Arizona highway and created a traffic nightmare in a bid to keep the GOP front-runner and his supporters from attending a Saturday rally in Fountain Hills. That event drew thousands to hear the men speak.

Three people were arrested, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office said.

No arrests were made. He argued that his ability to clinch the Democratic nomination is hinged upon the fact that the West, which holds a number of primary contests in coming weeks, is “friendlier” to his campaign.

Meanwhile in New York City, anti-fascist group Cosmopolitan AFA, launched the #CrushTrump protest in Columbus Circle, near Trump Tower. People are now seeing it.
