US Republican presidential hopefuls debate 4th time
The clash over how to deal with immigrants in the country illegally sparked the ugliest exchanges of Tuesday’s debate, as the two sides showed little taste for even a hint of compromise.

This time, only eight candidates participated in the main debate, down from the previous 10 candidates.
Donald Trump: The heavy policy discussion didn’t allow Trump to stand out – and it even made him look a bit forgettable, which is political kryptonite for him.
Cruz and Trump each receive 27 percent support in the University of Texas/Texas Tribune survey released Thursday, followed by retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 13 percent. I come out I speak my mind.
The OH governor is the latest candidate to try winning the GOP nomination by alienating Republicans.
But the audience actually booed Trump as he stuck to his insistence that 11 million undocumented immigrants should be torn from their families and deported on the spot.
“I’ve built an unbelievable company worth billions and billions of dollars”. I don’t have to hear from this man, believe me. Afterward, Fiorina suggested Trump did so because she is a woman.
But numerous candidates on stage voiced opposition to raising the minimum wage. More than half of Hispanics in this poll are immigrants themselves or the children of immigrants. “If you lower those wages, that comes down”, Carson said.
Carson was absent from long stretches of the debate, speaking for less time than any other candidate. Moderators did not push him at all when he referred to the “lies” he said were being told about him in the media.
Afterward, Trump was asked if he’d been let off the hook.
I didn’t see a clear victor in the GOP debate. “I’m going to get my question right now”, according to a Washington Post transcript. It wasn’t former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush further sinking his own campaign. Marco Rubio, R-Florida.
All in all, viewers Tuesday night got a few substance, but not a lot of controversy.
FBN moderator Neil Cavuto summed up the evening by taking a shot at rival CNBC when he said, while pointing towards the candidates, “Business debates can be riveting, because it wasn’t about us”. “Not patty cake, but good questions, tough questions”. But his noninterventionism and skepticism about military spending leaves him out of sync with many voters and activists in his party.
A poll from Milwaukee’s local TMJ 4 news station saw Trump leading with 30 percent, Rubio with 22 percent, Paul with 17 percent and Carson with 9 percent.
He’s tried attacking Trump; he’s tried attacking Rubio; and last night he attacked Hillary Clinton.
“Marco! Marco! How is it conservative to add a $1 trillion expenditure for the federal government that you’re not paying for?”

In the undercard debate, candidates fought for relevancy. He was immediately engulfed by dozens of microphones and cameras; a reporter for the Daily Mail began shouting questions about new factual discrepancies in his autobiography. “Of course I’m going on”. The opt-in, Internet survey was taken November 5-9, before the economy-focused debate in Milwaukee. That debate will be hosted by PBS.
