US President Barack Obama on Monday said an agreement with Russian Federation on ending the violence in Syria is being hampered by “gaps of trust” between the two governments.

A Chinese security official had also blocked national security adviser Susan Rice on the tarmac and yelled at another USA official trying to help journalists get closer to Obama.

“If there’s anything that the past eight years have taught us, is that the complicated challenges of the 21st Century can not be met without coordinated and collective action”, he added.

“It’s curtains down on another Summit for this critical global forum”, he said.

The Turkish president also said he was working with US -led coalition forces and Russian Federation to establish a ceasefire in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo before the Eid al-Adha religious holiday expected to start around September 11.

On the global economic recovery, the Chinese leader said that G20 members were determined to facilitate inclusive and interconnected development.

“Of course we have to take into account the fact that it is a sovereignty issue.it is not an obligation, but the burden-sharing is there”. The U.S. says the tests and other recent ones like it violate U.N. Security Council resolutions, and also pose a threat to aircraft and commercial ships in the region.

Obama will become the first sitting US president to travel to Laos later Monday, where he plans to push for closer economic ties with Laos and Southeast Asia, and raise human rights abuses in the one-party communist state.

Pledge: The two leaders promised to keep up negotiations. He said the trade bloc will look at Beijing’s response when deciding whether to grant China market economy status, which would make it harder to bring anti-dumping cases.

“And what I’ll be telling them is that the USA has never had a smooth, uncontroversial path to ratifying trade deals, but they eventually get done”, Obama said.

However, on the same day, North Korea, who was present for the summit, fired three ballistic missiles off its east coast in a defiant reminder of the risks to global security.
