US Senator Raises Pokémon Go Privacy Concerns

While the app has rapidly topped Tinder in popularity it has also been revealed that playing the game allows the developer, Niantic, to collect troves of sensitive user data, including “full access permission” to a user’s Google account.

For those who may have switched off their Internet this past week, Pokémon Go is an augmented reality app where you catch the fictional creatures made popular by the card game and TV series from the 90s.

Niantic has confirmed that Pokemon Go is now available to download in Germany, being one of the biggest markets for the new game in Europe.
