The announcement came three days before the Iowa caucuses, when the first votes are cast for the presidential nominations.

Currently, State Department officials are continuing the investigations, in order to see if any of the information contained by the emails was classified at the moment of the transmission.
But The Associated Press has learned that 7 email chains are being withheld in full for containing “top secret” material.
The State Department also announced Friday that it would not release 22 of Clinton’s emails because they contained material designated “top secret”. That means they won’t be published online with others being released, even with blacked-out boxes. If the State Department were to release publicly even redacted copies of the emails, those who may have complete copies will be able to figure out the SAP information and use that knowledge both to compromise government sources and programs, and in analyzing other US government information to which they’ve gained access. Clinton has been heavily criticized for using a personal email system to do sensitive government business, though she has denied that she ever sent or received classified information on her private email address.
“This flies in the face of the fact that these emails were unmarked at the time they were sent, and have been called “innocuous” by certain intelligence officials”. Friday’s will be the first at top secret level. It did so by making clear, in public, that at some of the emails on her server are “Top Secret”. But without classification markings, that may have been hard, especially if the information was in the public domain. As we’ve explained previously, tonight’s release will not meet the court’s due date for producing all of the remaining emails, but we are still striving to produce as many documents as possible today.
Fallon accused the “loudest and leakiest participants” in a process of bureaucratic infighting for withholding the exchanges. She finally returned some 32,000 government-related emails to the State Department in December 2014, or almost two years after she left her post.
“I’m not going to speak to the content of these documents”, said State Department spokesman John Kirby at a briefing with reporters.
Monday’s emails were revealed by the conservative legal group Judicial Watch, which has filed multiple lawsuits to bring State Department emails to light.
“I never emailed anything that was considered to be classified”, Clinton, the Democratic front-runner, told Dubuque, Iowa KCRG Friday, maintaining that she wants the withheld e-Mails released.
In a town hall meeting at Drake University in Iowa earlier this month, a student named Taylor Gipple asked Clinton why she felt that young people were less enthusiastic about her candidacy.
In August, a Quinnipiac poll found that 61 percent of voters saw Clinton as untrustworthy. Doing so wasn’t expressly forbidden.
According to Grassley, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, Brock Johnson, who worked as a State Department spokesman at the time, first emailed the FOIA request to Mills.

She projected confidence that the outcome this time around would not be the same and offered a subtle contrast between herself and Vermont independent Sen. They’ve backtracked from that claim in recent months.
