US to play Brazil in exhibition at Foxborough on Sept 8

Brazil have been a frequent opponent for the U.S., coming to the country every few years for a friendly in a giant NFL stadium that inevitably sells out. Brazil is 2-1-0 in those three games. Unfortunately, Gillette Stadium has an artificial turf surface so this friendly, like the Gold Cup match, will likely be played on a awful temporary grass field laid over the turf. The Brazilians are 2-1-0 at Gillette.

The Americans will play Mexico or Jamaica on October. 9 to determine which team represents CONCACAF in the 2017 Federation Internationale de Football Association Confederations Cup.

“Both teams are great draws”, Bilello said.

The U.S. defeated Netherlands, ranked sixth at time, 4-3 and top-ranked Germany, the reigning World Cup champions, 2-1 in June.

Tickets for the game will go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 31 at 10 a.m. Revolution Season Ticket Holders and multi-game plan holders will be able to purchase their tickets as part of a presale beginning on Thursday, July 30. We know we’ve always had tremendous support for the U.S. national team and we’ve had Brazil here a few times and there’s always tremendous support for them, so I think it’s going to be a really fun day at Gillette Stadium.
