As said the local Afghan officials, a motorbike-rider suicide bomber attacked a joint US-Afghan patrol while they were patrolling on foot through the village Bajawryan.

Spokesman Zabiullah Mujahed said the suicide bomber, purportedly named Zahidullah, had been observing the foreign forces in the area and had struck at a suitable time. USA and Afghan military leaders say they are expecting a hot winter, followed by a tough fight throughout 2016.
The attack killed five soldiers and wounded six, Bagram District Governor Abdul Shukur Qudusi said.
He also said that two Afghan police officers were wounded in the attack.
The attack happened 10km from the Bagram airbase, home to thousands of troops, majority from the United States.
The attack on foreign troops comes more than a week after Taliban targeted a guesthouse of the Spanish embassy in Kabul and another air base in the southern province of Kandahar.
Sangin, a strategically important district at the centre of Afghanistan’s lucrative opium trade, has been the scene of fierce fighting for years between the Taliban and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation forces.
More than 450 United Kingdom military personnel died during a 13-year combat mission in Afghanistan, including more than 100 in Sangin.
Bagram Airfield is home to one of the largest contingents of the remaining 9,800 USA troops in Afghanistan.

Officials there have warned the whole of the southern province could fall.
