US U-19 team involved in brawl in tournament game vs. Bahrain
During a match between the U-19 USA and Bahrain men’s soccer teams, a fight broke out after American, Pierre Da Silva, was drilled in the face. From there, Da Silva’s US teammates went after the offending player, resulting in a brief melee between the two sides.

The incident happened after U.S. striker Pierre Da Silva was felled by one Bahrain player and had another kick the ball hard into his head as he lay prone on the turf. He tried to use a Marseille turn to get by said defender, who didn’t appreciate getting clowned like this, so he stuck his foot out and tripped Da Silva. What really started the brawl, though, was what happened next: Another Bahraini player attempted to keep the play alive by kicking the ball, which ended up ricocheting directly off Da Silva’s kisser. While Da Silva looked like he went limp (he got up a second later), all hell broke loose, and the two sides got into a massive brawl that spilled onto the field and included the benches clearing.

Soon after Bahrain’s Abdulaziz Khalid notched his third goal of the match for a hat trick and a dominant 3-1 edge, tensions boiled over in stoppage time. No. 3, the guy who kicked the ball, got shoved by a USA player but then came away unharmed, looking at the mess of players on the pitch.
