US Vice President Joe Biden blasts Donald Trump
Vice President Joe Biden spoke on the third day of the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday.

In his final speech to a Democratic convention as vice president, Biden detailed about the pain of losing late son Beau Biden to brain cancer in 2015.
Biden, 73, ran for president twice and spent months a year ago debating whether to challenge Hillary Clinton for the 2016 nomination before he opted out in October.
Vice President Joe Biden thinks there’s been a turn in the presidential race that’ll carry Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton into the White House – and is confidently predicting, “I don’t think it’s going to be close”.
“You know, all the Republicans know, that’s not who we are”. Barack Obama knows this. But unlike Clinton, Biden could really connect – with Democrats, with working class voters, with numerous people who lately seem ready to leave the party behind.
“I mean he’s not a very bright guy, but that was Ted Cruz that said it and he shouldn’t say it”, Trump said.
His comments sounded like what would have been his stump speech, vigorously defending the Obama-Biden record and sounding a note of optimism.
Biden took a swing at the GOP candidate, saying America shouldn’t want a president that is best known for firing people on television. He would have argued that Americans have to accept that we can’t solve all of the world’s problems, but it is our obligation to help each other get through our own. But he is also expected to paint a vision of America that is far more optimistic and filled with vitality than the picture a nation under siege from crime and terrorism laid out by Trump during his convention last week.

Obama and Biden’s exaltation of their wives paved the way for their dynamic endorsements of Hillary Clinton. They also know Trump was being sarcastic when he said he hoped the Russians have Hillary’s 30,000 missing emails.
After the event, Trump made stops in Pennsylvania and was headed for OH, energized by a Los Angeles Times poll that showed him leading Clinton, 47%-40%. Way up. Folks, as I stand here tonight, I see so many friends and colleagues, like my buddy Chris Dodd and the CT delegation.
What if Joe Biden had mounted one last run?
