US Voters Unsure of Clinton, Trump Positions Ahead of First Presidential Debate
It’s yet another reminder of the once-chummy relationship Trump used to share with the Clinton family – ties both Trump and Hillary Clinton have disavowed on the campaign trail.

She said she thought Trump’s “flamboyancy is going to get the country into a lot of trouble with other countries”.
‘We as Americans should be embarrassed about Donald Trump, ‘said Michael DeLuise, 66, a retired university vice president and registered Republican who lives in Eugene, Oregon. It airs at 9 PM EST and is scheduled to last 90 minutes.
The first of three debates (the other two are on October 9 and October 19), the showdown will be moderated by NBC News anchor Lester Holt, who is expected to divide the 90-minute session into three different topical segments: the Direction of America, Achieving Prosperity and Securing America. The debates will be the biggest test of whether he can keep that up for 90 minutes of live television with his political opponent standing just a few feet from him.
What Are the Debate Rules?
You can expect both candidates to come armed with sound bite-ready responses.
We have our issues with Clinton.
Under this Monday’s presidential debate rules, the moderator will offer up a question before each of the six 15 minute segments. Clinton has been criticized as being hawkish but has shown a measured approach to the world’s problems.
It offers Trump a tantalizing chance to gain ground against Clinton, who still has a clearer path to electoral map victory in November. With any remaining time in the segment, the moderator can expand on the topic.
But our reservations about Clinton pale in comparison to our fears about Trump. But the GOP nominee is being advised to let Clinton speak as much as possible on the debate stage, with the thinking being that she could lose viewers the more she does.
Some 77 percent of them think the country is on the “wrong track”, which puts them more in line with Trump supporters than Clinton backers. His objection to “fact-checking” by Holt might be related to this.
In the video, audio of Republican candidate Donald Trump plays over visuals of young girls looking in the mirror. So a Ted Cruz who backs Trump won’t just be eating crow; he’ll be abandoning his political identity.
Clinton had a four-percentage point advantage in support over Trump ahead of their first United States presidential debate set for Monday, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos national tracking poll released on Friday. “Clearly his advisers agree that that is not a very presidential image”.
Gingrich is part of a rotating cast of politicians and policy experts traveling with Trump on his private plane for mid-flight debate preparations, according to Republicans familiar with the preparations. This would be a hard subject for Trump, given his opposition to strong regulation of the banking and financial industries.
Maybe the Trump Foundation will chip in some cash.
The other five reasons were Trump’s willingness to repeal Obamacare, to reduce regulations for the oil and gas industry, revoking executive amnesty for undocumented immigrants, his willingness to stop unvetted refugees and Trump’s opposition to Obama’s plan to “hand over control of the Internet to an global community of stakeholders, including Russia, China, and Iran”.
There has been an ongoing Trump Foundation investigation for months now. Trump, a sniveling coward, has promised to stop the deluge of unvetted refugees.
When Trump goes into attack mode – which he nearly certainly will – one of the topics he will probably bring up is Benghazi. They’re far more likely than Clinton’s supporters to call immigration a very or extremely important issue, 79 percent to 51 percent.

“At the end of the day, Hillary Clinton has to be the one to inspire the Obama coalition to turn out, but President Obama can and will help”, said Dan Pfieffer, a former Obama senior adviser.
