Ryan Bundy faces new internal charges after fighting with deputies who were transporting him from the Multnomah County Jail for an appointment early Tuesday, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office were getting ready to hand him over to deputies from the U.S. Marshals Office when Bundy resisted.

Bundy was then taken out of general housing at the jail for “threatening” or “assaultive” behavior and placed in disciplinary housing, which will allow him to spend less time out of his cell.

Bundy family members and Nevada State Assemblywoman Michele Fiore took to social media to complain that Bundy had been “beaten”. “He was fine”, Alexander said.

Ammon Bundy says a confrontation between Ryan Bundy and jail deputies stemmed from his brother’s fear that doctors were going to remove a bullet from his shoulder without consent. If the hearings officer finds that Bundy stepped out of line, his jail privileges will be affected.

In April, deputies found about 15 feet of torn up bed sheets tied together to form a rope. Bundy has denied he was attempting an escape.

Bundy and his brother Ammon, who spearheaded the 41-day occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, are slated to go to trial on September 7.

The Bundys and six other co-defendants are scheduled for trial September 7 for their alleged involvement in the armed takeover early this year.
