USA presidential candidate Hillary Clinton calls for more aggressive action in

And since there are no simple solutions to the problems presented by Isis, no presidential candidate wants to tell the American public that there’s nothing to be done – or that nobody knows what precisely to do.

But having served in President Barack Obama’s cabinet makes her time as secretary of state an easy line of attack for Republicans.

“That is just not the smart move here”, Clinton said, without detailing her plans if regional powers fail to supply more troops and arms for the fight.

Ahead of the announcement, SEIU leaders said that an endorsement by the national leadership wouldn’t blunt their endorsement for Sanders. Bernie Sanders, her Democratic primary opponent, who has placed major emphasis on the need for coalitions to fight ISIS – that “there has been lot of talk about coalitions”. She said, “Once and for all, the Saudis, the Qataris and others need to stop their citizens from directly funding extremist organizations”.

Her command of the subject matter sets her apart from numerous Republican candidates who still struggle to speak with confidence about foreign policy issues. Asked to name an enemy she is most proud of making, Clinton recently cited Republicans – a chilling signal that the divisiveness of the Obama era could become even worse with her in the Oval Office. And he or she would review and revise counterterrorism and immigration strategies to make sure they were effective, and ensure that we are not putting our nation at risk.

The union represents nurses, health care workers and other caregivers and is among the most ethnically diverse unions in the country. “I think she will be but I think it’s a bit premature”.

Clinton also was clear about protecting the United States from ISIS as well as homegrown terrorists that might be sympathetic to the terrorist group.

“It’s time to begin a new phase to intensify and broaden our efforts, to smash the would-be caliphate and deny ISIS control of territory in Iraq and Syria”, Clinton said, according to Politico.

Additionally, Clinton called for something the Obama administration has specifically declined – no-fly zones in Syria.

President Obama has been criticized for doing little to change USA policy in Syria following the attacks in Paris, Beirut, and Egypt. Secretary of State John Kerry flew to France to show solidarity and assess the situation there. “But we still can’t close our eyes to the fact that there is a distorted and unsafe stream of extremism within the Muslim world that continues to spread”, Clinton stated. “Turning away orphans, applying a religious test, discriminating against Muslims, slamming the door on every Syrian refugee, that is just not who we are”. She acknowledged they do have “differences” but stressed they are all working toward a common goal.

And in keeping with the current administration’s position, she dismissed out of hand the notion that America and the West was engaged in a clash of civilisations.

Graham’s measure against ISIS, which he promises to introduce after the Thanksgiving recess, could be as broad as the 2001 AUMF granted to Bush, which justifies US military force anytime, anywhere, against anyone believed to be connected to Al-Qaeda.

Yet Clinton provides a wish list of Mideast diplomatic breakthroughs that a US with no skin in the game will somehow bring about: “work with” Putin’s Russian Federation, get “our Arab and Turkish partners” to “step up in a much bigger way”, bring in Jordan and Saudi Arabia, “counter Iranian influence across the region”. “I feel that ISIS is integrated with the refugees and we do not have the capabilities to properly vet the people, so at this point”. Her spokesman, Nick Merrill, said that the candidate “sees merit” in deploying the 50 special operations forces.
