USA says no plan for “offensive action” in South Sudan

Renewed fighting in South Sudan past week left at least 300 dead and more than 42,000 displaced.

State House said that Ban Ki-moon said the violation of the ceasefire by Kiir and Machar makes the United Nations position very hard and asked Museveni as the guarantor of the peace process alongside the AU and IGAD to send out a clear unified message to South Sudan.
