Usain Bolt Talks About the One Event That Gets Him Nervous
During a press conference on Friday, Bolt mentioned that he would retire from the Olympic stage. And while Bolt dances to his last Olympics, fans, sports analysts and fellow athletes, remember all the career milestones of one of the games’ most decorated track and field stars. So for this, his last Olympic games, you know one of the most legendary olympians ever is going to do things right.

Bolt is expected to race the 100- and 200-meter races, as well as the 4×100 relay at these Rio Games.
Bolt said lowering his 200-meter record, which stands at 19.19 seconds, below the 19 mark, is something he wants.
“I really want to run under 19 seconds, that’s my focus”.
Usain Bolt admits there are no guarantees he will be defending his Olympic sprint titles against a completely clean field in Rio.
Theres a variety of stuff but I’m not really too keen on going to experiment at this stage in the competition because I don’t know what is what so I just stick to what I know, maybe rice, veg [vegetables] chicken and fish. Aside from that, he is also chasing one final goal – record a sub-19 200m. Viewers can also follow the happenings from the Rio Olympics 2016 available for free on iOS and Android.
“I haven’t been around Rio much yet”.
“As a young kid you grow up looking forward to the big Games”, he said.
Bolt is seeking a unique third sprint treble at the Olympics after winning the 100m, 200m and 4x100m in 2008 and 2012.
The spectacle was appropriate for Bolt, who considers himself both sprinter and entertainer.
“Every time we go out on the track, we’re capable of creating history”, teammate and former world record holder Asafa Powell said.
Speaking at the Cidade des Artes – a concrete cultural centre beside a dual carriageaway rammed with commuters trying to navigate their way home around Olympic bus lanes – Bolt last night gave an insight into his plans to attempt the Olympic triple-triple this weekend. I think we’re weeding out the bad ones. “I really, really want it, I have always wanted it”. I’ve never really thought about living on a boat. I think they have done well to weed out the bad ones and we are heading in the right direction.
He did manage to fit in a 200 meters at the London Diamond League three weeks ago but though he won in 19.89 seconds, it was hardly a smooth performance – something his coach Glen Mills made sure he was aware of.

Jamaican team manager Ludlow Watts has revealed that, though most athletes share a room with a colleague, Bolt’s “superstar” status and past accomplishments afford him his own space in Rio.
