“No hearing, no due process”, Skordas wrote in an email.

No charges have been filed against either player. “Based exclusively on an allegation”.

Masina and Hill are under investigation for an alleged assault July 14 at an off-campus apartment, court documents say.

Masina is also under investigation by the Cottonwood Heights Police Department, in Utah, in connection with a separate sexual assault case involving the same woman.

It is not known whether Hill was also suspended from the university.

Both are under investigation by the LAPD for a sexual assault that allegedly occurred over the summer.

The football team placed the linebacker on suspension when allegations of the assault came to light.

In a Cottonwood Heights police report dated July 30, the investigating officer lists the allegations as “forcible rape, forcible sodomy, fondling and exploitation via telecommunication device”. A search warrant was served on Masina at the USC campus August 24.

“He could only bear to watch around three seconds of the video”, the police warrant said.

Four days after the search warrant was executed, Helton announced Masina would not travel with the team to Texas to play Alabama, citing a “violation of team rules”.

When warrants were issued against Masina, the Trojans suspended him and barred him from travelling with the team. Hill was sent home from Dallas before the game against the Crimson Tide.

Police in Utah initially informed USC’s Department of Public Safety of the allegations there on August 2, according to the LAPD report.

Last season, Masina appeared in 12 games as a backup in his freshman season and Hill played in five contests as a backup in his redshirt freshman campaign.
