Stay tuned to Badger of Honor for more coverage heading into bowl season.
Though USC is coming off of a tough loss to the Stanford Cardinal in the PAc-12 Championship game on Saturday, head coach Clay Helton expressed his excitement over the team’s bowl selection.
Wisconsin and USC have met six times prior, with the Trojans victorious in all six games, though this will be the first meeting since 1966.
USC made its first-ever Holiday Bowl appearance past year, in a 45-42 victory over Nebraska.

The Badgers enter the game with a 9-3 record. Says the Trojans are really talented and that “they’re a heck of a team”. “I’m looking forward to learning about them and also hopefully taking advantage of the bowl practices and opportunities for us to grow. I give them a lot of credit for kind of overcoming what all happened in the beginning of the year”. “If he’s good to go, he’ll play”, Chryst said. The Badgers have an unbelievable defense, leading the nation in points allowed and ranking third in total defense, so we will have to be on our game. Wisconsin (9-3) lost to teams now ranked in the top 12: No. 2 Alabama, No. 6 Iowa and No. 12 Northwestern. I think that you always earn the right to get in the bowl you do. “What an opportunity to try to finish this season off playing a great team like USC”.
