USC Trojans to meet the Wisconsin Badgers in the 28th Holiday Bowl
Two very distinct styles, perceptions as well as historic outlook for this years Holiday Bowl.

The game kicks off at 7:30PM PST on Wednesday December 30, 2015 from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA. He also completed 65.4 percent of his passes for 2,301 yards and 29 touchdowns with Arizona Western back in 2012. “The first-year Badgers coach flexed his play-calling muscle against USC, executing his game plan to perfection”.
Helton, who had the interim tag removed November 30, remained his own offensive coordinator after being promoted but recently said wide receivers coach Tee Martin will be in charge of the offense.
Kessler got the Trojans to midfield with seven seconds on the clock and the down being fourth. The quarterback battle between these seniors will definitely be something to watch.
Wisconsin is 9-3 on the season, 5-7 against the spread and 7-5 with the under. They couldn’t catch a break and they wouldn’t recover, a scenario that had defined the team’s 2015 season up to that point. USC allows 401.3 yards and 25.9 points per game in defense. The defensive numbers don’t look great but eight games involved opponents that finished the season averaging 6 ypp or more. The 14-team Big Ten Conference has a 3-1 bowl record.
If the Trojans hope to extend their all-time record to 7-0 against Wisconsin, they’ll need to find a way to protect quarterback Cody Kessler.
What if this is how they’re going to start out game after game after game after game after game after game after game after game after game as they have the last nine games. They stuck with it, however, and Corey Clement, Dare Ogunbowale, Derek Watt and Tanner McEvoy found creases to pick up key yards. In each of Wisconsin’s three losses, the Badgers have been held to under 100 yards rushing, so if the Trojans want to have success on defense, it starts with stopping the run. Wide receiver Jazz Peavy caught a touchdown pass that looked to have given the Badgers the lead and the victory in their final game of the season at Camp Randall. Big 10 match-up between schools like this would typically be projected as a Rose Bowl style game.
Whether or not Joel Stave’s performance was enough to shift fans’ opinions of him is yet to be determined. After Delvon Simmons made a stop for no gain, Wisconsin basically took a magic carpet ride down the field, with five consecutive plays that covered more than 10 yards. And what he does with those throws could decide the game.
Adoree’ Jackson, CB, USC- With a lot of time to prepare for this game, expect the do-it-all athlete to be included in every facet of the game, perhaps even some trick plays on offense.
“What we do with this going forward, that’s for next year’s team to work on and to make reality”, Chryst said, “but told the kids going into this, this game was going to be about finishing this season”. Too many second-and-longs made that a pipe dream for a team that talks a good ground game but can’t play one against teams like Stanford and Wisconsin.
Player of the game: The honor has to go to the entire Wisconsin defense, but one player is worth highlighting in particular.
USC got the ball back with 2:28 left, but the Badgers pressured Kessler and Sojourn Shelton intercepted his pass. For the first time since 2004, Wisconsin doesn’t have a star running back in the backfield to carry the offensive load. Then Wisconsin went 74 yards in six plays, Stave throwing for 56 yards on the drive, including a 26-yard gainer to Austin Traylor that set up Corey Clement’s six-yard touchdown run.
