Every time Oklahoma State saw a chance Saturday in Stillwater, Oklahoma, it seized it. The Cowboys gained just 73 yards on 21 rushes through three quarters, before closing with 91 yards on 14 carries in the fourth quarter. It was the most points scored by an OSU team since the Cowboys scored 84 vs. Savannah State in 2012.

The win improves the Red Raiders (3-0) to 9-1 in nonconference action under coach Kliff Kingsbury, and it makes amends for a 49-28 loss to the Razorbacks a year ago.
Oklahoma State’s defense has had the mantra “We Take It Back” since preseason practice started, meaning they want to take the ball back, and create turnovers. The offensive line has played a major factor in those struggles as the Cowboys do have solid options in the backfield between Rennie Childs and Chris Carson.
A week after throwing for two touchdowns and a school-record 332 yards, UTSA redshirt-freshman quarterback Blake Bogenschutz passed for only 156 yards and was sacked three times in the loss to KSU. Rudolph completed 17-of-23 passes for 280 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions against the Roadrunners.
The Cowboys totaled 217 yards on the ground and averaged 5.4 yards per carry. If UTSA would have faced OSU before they were somewhat humbled by CMU and UCA than I could see an argument for the Roadrunners picking up an early score to keep the game competitive.
Making those turnover numbers more impressive is the fact that UTSA entered the game having only turned the ball over twice on the year, ranking 31st nationally in fewest turnovers. Grogan’s performances in the Cowboys’ first two games had been criticized, but he rebounded with a ideal outing against the Roadrunners.
Oklahoma State has utilized at least 11 different receivers in each of its three games, but senior David Glidden has led the way.

“We’re not good enough to do that”, Coker said. A win over a top 25 team would be noteworthy, and Texas could use all the momentum they can find as they head into the teeth of their schedule.
UTSA coach Larry Coker said he plans to go with Bogenschutz against Colorado State. We talked a lot at the front just about winning moments. Mason Rudolph did whatever he wanted, the run game was effective, and the defense/special teams forced seven turnovers.

“David, he’s a consistent guy, he’s a veteran leader”, said Rudolph, who has done quite well himself, completing 62 of 90 passes for 947 yards and five touchdowns, with one interception.
