The Supreme Court will today declare the result of the Uttarakhand floor test, which has been submitted to the apex court in a sealed envelope.

The Supreme Court formally announced that the Congress leader had won the trust vote which was held two days ago.
The problems peaked on March 18 when the assembly passed the budget Appropriation Bill by voice vote while the opposition and nine Congress rebels sought recorded voting in the house of 70 members.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi called the floor test a “victory of democracy”, while AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Uttarakhand floor test outcome is a huge setback for Modi government”.
The court proceedings took an interesting turn when one of the disqualified MLAs, Shaila Rani Rawat, stood up to challenge the Speaker’s powers to disqualify her.
But the scales tiled in his favour when both the Uttarakhand High Court and the Supreme Court ruled that the rebel legislators can not take part in the floor test.
BJP MLAs, who were the first to come out of the assembly premises which was out of bounds for the media, said they could bag 28 votes.
Harish Rawat is set to return as Uttarakhand Chief Minister as the Congress has won the Assembly floor test which took place yesterday.
In Delhi, the Congress said it was the “victory of democracy”.
The court said it was necessary to examine the justifiability of the imposition of President’s Rule as the same had been quashed by the high court citing several reasons.
Accusing the BJP-led central government of misusing Article 356 for “narrow political” purposes, the Left party said the provision needs to be reviewed. Rawat struck a conciliatory note after the floor test.
President’s Rule was imposed on March 27, a day before the scheduled trust vote which led to criticism of the Centre’s handling of the situation.

“Even after trying every trick in the book to topple opposite state (governments) states, Modi Sarkar has been brought to its knees. Our struggle is against backwardness and deprivation and in this struggle we have support of Soniaji and Rahulji”, he added.
