UVa Women’s Soccer Earns One Seed in NCAA Tournament; Host Howard Friday

Stanford received one of four No. 1 seeds into the NCAA women’s soccer tournament and will play host to San Jose State in the first round on Friday at 7 p.m. The program is 10-3 all-time in first round contests and, under Bustin’s leadership, has compiled a 4-3 NCAA Tournament ledger with trips to the championship match and the quarterfinals. The Pirates are making their ninth appearance in the NCAA D-III tournament and second consecutive appearance under third-year head coach Morgan Cathey. “We’re going to take that loss and the things we didn’t do so well and turn them into good things”.
