Va. plane crash dead were from Indiana, Kentucky, Germany
– Officials say the six people who died in a small plane crash in Virginia were from all over the place, including, Indiana, Kentucky and Germany and that three of the six were teenagers.

The crash occured when a small, private aircraft was attempting to land at teh end of the runway and pull back up. As it attempted to turn and climb, it appeared to have stalled as it made it beyond the railroad tracks at the end of the airport property.
Chugiak Fire and Rescue Chief Clifton Dalton said the plane crashed in flames on the north side of Birchwood Airport.
Virginia State Police say the aircraft left Kentucky Friday morning, stopped in IN, and then continued to Shannon Airport in Fredericksburg, its final destination.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police Trooper T.J. Ferrara and the NTSB and FAA.
The Borinstein’s mother was victim Lisa Borinstein.
Emma’s twin brother stayed at home in Shelbyville, Indiana, because he had football and basketball practice, he said.
Luke Borinstein was a sophomore at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the school said.
According to reports, all six passengers were from out of state.
The aircraft departed Louisville, Ky., Friday morning (Aug. 12).
“The plane was completely decimated and there was still some flame coming from it”, Acree said in email. State police and the NTSB are still at the scene Saturday.
Tanya Aquino of Washington was on an Amtrak train to Richmond when the train stopped. She said her train was delayed about 30 minutes because of the crash.
That summation of events was reached as a result of an investigation by both state police and federal transportation authorities, including the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration, the press release said.

The airport has an average of 85 flights per day, mostly local general aviation. Ninety-one aircraft are based there, majority are single-engine.
