Vacation Bible School registration open
Zion Missionary Baptist Church, at 709 S. Mulberry St., Jackson, is hosting its annual vacation Bible school from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 28-30. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and dig into yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures and collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love. Early arrival at 8 a.m.is available.

Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, 3201 W. Second Ave., will present Vacation Bible School from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 20-24. Take the first road to the right past Plaza Motel on US 50 East. Commencement service will be 10 a.m. Sunday, June 26, with potluck lunch at noon. The program will be preceded at 5:30 p.m.by a light meal of hamburgers or hot dogs, salad and desserts.
Mulberry Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will host a pre-anniversary musical in honor of the pastor, the Rev. Robert A. Anderson Sr., at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 18. There will two service each day at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. This year, go and hear Brother Bobby Brindle, the world’s smallest evangelist. There will be a supper served at 5 p.m. on Friday.
