Pinned as one of the more intriguing new releases going into E3 2016, Remember Me and Life is unusual developer Dontnod is on the verge of showcasing Vampyr to the masses, and to sate our collective appetite, a string of haunting screenshots have emerged for the new horror IP.

Killing isn’t optional: chomping on the populace of London is the basis of character progression, allowing you to unlock your supernatural vampire, uh, Vampyr powers.

Dr Jonathan Reid, the protagonist, is split between the oath he swore as a doctor and the need to kill as a vampire. Expect new details to creep out of the shadows during E3 2016 next month. One example given in the game’s latest press release shows an example of that; “Decide to feed on a renowned doctor from the city hospital, and progressively see the health condition of the patients drop”.

It’s about time that we got a slightly better look at Vampyr, the promising action role-playing game from Life Is Strange developer DONTNOD. That doesn’t necessarily mean you’re stuck being a total dick, though: Referencing your character’s “duality”, the studio asked, “Can you be both a savior and a monster?”
