Van Gaal desperate for Christmas cracker at United
Van Gaal’s management of United has come under closer scrutiny following his team’s exit from the Champions League at the group stage following their 3-2 defeat at Wolfsburg on Tuesday night.

“They say a club like Manchester United has to win”.
Having spent around £250 million on new acquisitions since arriving in the Old Trafford hotseat, this fact makes it all the more hard to swallow for United fans whereby an entire generation aren’t used to these gross inconsistencies in the performances. We have to stick together and prepare our match against Norwich City and you have to win because otherwise it is more hard.
“It is always very disappointing when you are at the top of the table when you lose to a club at the bottom of the table”. We shall do our job.
It mattered little as a jubilant home crowd celebrated three valuable points, while United suffered a fifth successive match without a win in all competitions.
Asked whether Bournemouth’s victor was due to a lack of defensive concentration, the coach said: “You can never tell”.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe expressed admiration for midfielder Harry Arter, who played for 86 minutes just days after his partner lost a child at birth earlier this week. “But of course you see that there is a gap and you have to sniff that and we didn’t sniff that”. When we scored, they scored after two minutes again.
“I think the attitude of the players, I like the attitude”, he said.
When I was growing up in the 1980s, Liverpool and Everton were the big two and it looked like it would carry on like that forever.
With his Man United side already heavily criticized for not scoring enough goals and playing entertaining soccer this season, the European woes have compounded the woes of van Gaal.
In 1984, Bournemouth eliminated Man U from the FA Cup in an upset that still haunts Manchester to this day, reports The Hamilton Spectator. “But still we had the chances also in the second half”. “But the attitude is not only important, you have to perform in a certain way and I have to say, I was pleased with what I have seen in the first half. That is how I have seen this game”. And it does appear that Van Gaal is a lame duck now. “I’ve practised on that (corner) drill and missed the chance every time but I’m glad it went in today”.

“We are doing that, but in the outside world I think it’s more of a problem than in our inside world”.
