Van Gaal: Man Utd need a new winger

I remember how unsure the fans were about him early on at Bayern but in the end we did the Double and the fans in Munich loved him for it. I am sure he can also bring success to Manchester United.

According to the latest reports however, the goalkeeper and Manchester United have found a solution as they are said to be ready to agree Newcastle United’s offer for the flop goalie Victor Valdes.

The 22-year-old scored his first goal for United last weekend, in the 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion and Lingard’s former boss at global level Southgate is pleased to see the Warrington-born youngster flourishing.

Manager Louis van Gaal says Manchester United’s fans should make up their own minds about the team’s style of play.

In May, Van Gaal gave an eight-minute rambling speech at United’s end of season awards ceremony, packed with rallying calls and humour.

“I think we are doing great defensively”, the Spain global added.

“In Munich, it took a while before the team understood exactly how we wanted to play football”. It is good we send a signal that you can do that, but you lose.

Van Gaal has dipped into the youth squads to fill the gaps left by injuries.

Ronaldo joined United for €17.5 million in 2003 before leaving the club in a €94 million move to Real Madrid six years later.

United now sit in fourth place in the Premier League standings after winning seven of their opening 12 top-flight games, which has kept them in the running for the title despite the team struggling in front of goal.

However, PSG would surely be the more likely destination for Sanchez should he decide to leave Arsenal in the summer.

“He will carry out the role he’s been asked, which I think the manager [Louis van Gaal] there will quite like, and he’s got a terrific work ethic without the ball”.

“The Premier League is very attractive and Valdes want to stay because he has adapted perfectly to England, but we are not closing the door to any options”.

One player still waiting on a first call from England is impressive central defender Axel Tuanzebe, who was on the bench at Crystal Palace and grew up in Rochdale after being born in DR Congo.
