Van Gaal press conference previewing Leicester City
Regardless of van Gaal’s aptitude in English, the Dutchman seems to have gotten it spot-on, as Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has been an absolute menace for his side, in the past.

Manchester United boss Loius van Gaal has said Leicester City could go on to win the Barclays Premier League this season reports BBC Sport.
A long-standing record set by Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy could be broken by Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy when the Reds visit the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
Also, Vardy wreaked havoc the last time the two teams met as he marked his first Premier League start by making four goals and scoring the other as the Foxes beat United 5-3 in September past year.
Louis van Gaal insists he is “very satisfied” with Wayne Rooney’s contributions to Manchester United this season and claims it is not just the captain’s armband keeping him in the side.
“Van Nistelrooy didn’t play so much with me, I was at Ajax and he was at PSV. It’s not so easy to do that”.
Van Gaal knows how hard it is to maintain such a prolific scoring run, with Dennis Bergkamp the only player to have scored in 10 consecutive matches under him at Ajax more than 20 years ago.
When asked whether he would consider signing Vardy, van Gaal gave a terse reply, saying: “That is not your business, I think”.
Phil Jones, Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera are all still doubtful, while Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw remain definite absentees. You may think and criticise players or a team or a manager, but you have to do that with arguments, and not as a person.
Does LVG reckon they can win the league?
As well as conceding the least goals in the division this season, United have also completed the most number of passes in the league with 1,750 and their 55% average possession rate is also the highest this term.
“We have to forget this game (at Juventus) and try to bounce back in the league”.
Victory over the Dutch champions would have taken United into the last 16, but following a 0-0 draw, their fourth such result in seven matches, they must now win their final Group B game away to Wolfsburg to guarantee going through.

“Like everybody else, I am also curious in these days to watch my team, and to see how we respond in these big matches”.

“There were a lot of good clubs that came in for me but once Brighton were mentioned, I’ve been monitoring them, because they’ve been doing well in the league”, the 19-year-old said.
