Van Gaal Storms Out Of Press Conference
Under-fire Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal claims he has received supportive messages from Sir Alex Ferguson, Ed Woodward and David Gill during a hard few days which ended with him launching an angry monologue against the media.

And with Jose Mourinho now available and willing to take the United job if the opportunity arises, speculation has been rife that executive vice-chairman Woodward is set to make a change.
Van Gaal knows his troops must deal with the tough conditions if they are to get a result against Mark Hughes’s men. “I read I have been sacked”.
Van Gaal made it clear he has been annoyed by the coverage of his possible departure and strode out of his weekly press conference at the club’s training ground in Carrington on Wednesday.
“But I think about the positive attitude he has towards the game and the fact he wants his team to play football in a positive way”.
The Dutchman has found himself under increasing scrutiny after a six-game winless run which has seen United exit the Champions League and fall nine points behind Barclays Premier League leaders Leicester.
The news conference lasted only four minutes and 58 seconds. Van Gaal sees things differently.
“I do not want anyone to lose their job, my personal feelings on that front is that it is always sad when someone loses their job”.
Van Gaal insisted the club board was not to blame for the speculation and pointed the finger squarely at the media instead.
“Yes, I think so [it’s a must-win game] because, when you have lost three times in a row, then you need a victory”, he said.
“What do you think that happens with my wife or with my kids?” Or with my grandchildren? “This is not a head coach for Manchester United”, he told Reuters. “They have called me a lot of times and also Arsene Wenger is saying something about that”.
“But I didn’t feel that in the media and of course I can imagine that you can write about that subject”.
“I am disappointed with the way United are playing”, Kanchelskis said.
Rooney admitted a nightmare month has left United short on belief ahead of the trip to Stoke and back-to-back home matches against Chelsea and Swansea.

“We are not in a good position but four weeks ago we were in first place and in about four weeks we can again be in that position again”. “I help my players”.
