Van Gaal tells Manchester United to prove their worth against Wolfsburg
Louis van Gaal has defended his decision to offload SEVEN strikers during his time as Manchester United manager, despite the team’s current scoring woes.

United travel to Wolfsburg for their final Group B match on Tuesday knowing a victory will send them through.
Since qualifying for the Champions League via a playoff against Club Bruges, United have scored five goals in five games in the competition, and Schweinsteiger has called on his team mates to be more clinical, putting their struggles down to a question of attitude.
Wolfsburg know they will reach the Champions League knockout phase for the first time with a draw, but coach Dieter Hecking insists his team will not be content to play for just a point.
All four sides in the group still have something to play for, with PSV Eindhoven needing to better United’s result when they host CSKA Moscow in the other game. United are organised and hard to beat. Of course here it is not so easy as maybe at the Old Trafford, but it’s a challenge and we have just to prove ourselves here.
Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he wants to return to management at the start of next season and hinted that he would relish the chance to take charge of Manchester United in the future. “When I have to consider our season then I can only say that the match against Arsenal and against Palace we were not the better team”.
“When you speak about United, you speak about a big club”.
It’s still not great and Adrian only had one save to make but the United boss stuck to his guns in a more press conference-like message recorded in another video, where his usual defence of “dominating” the game came to the fore.
“When you are creating chances you will score and finish those kind of chances, we have that belief”.
Louis van Gaal knows only a win at Wolfsburg can guarantee his side’s qualification from Group B of the UCL. It’s a matter of time and I hope we can prove it against Wolfsburg.

The Italian was reportedly in contention to replace David Moyes in 2014, though he opted to remain in Madrid after winning the Champions League. They must beat Wolfsburg to secure safe passage to the last 16 of the Champions League.
