Van Gaal thinks Leicester could win Premier League title
Wednesday’s 0-0 Champions League draw against PSV Eindhoven means United have scored six goals in eight games.

Vardy’s 13 goals this season have taken Leicester to the top of the table, a point ahead of United before the two meet at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.
United also have the best defence in the Premier League so a potent attack in front of it will make them genuine contenders for the Premier League.
Dutchman Van Gaal, 64, responded by questioning whether Scholes’ criticism would benefit the Premier League club, adding that he did not agree with his opinion.
“We are still not lucky in finishing the chances”.
“He was already previous year a very nasty player for us”.
When asked if the Foxes could win the league, Van Gaal said: “I don’t think anybody has expected that [Leicester to be top], even Leicester themselves”.
“He scored, won a penalty, and now he is scoring 10 games in a row, then you are a great player”.
“He will say: ‘We are second in the league, if we beat Wolfsburg we will be in the next round of the Champions League, so we are still making progress'”.
“I have good and bad memories of facing Ranieri”.
Van Gaal’s conservative approach has been a source of frustration for many United fans this season, but the former Barcelona boss is happy with how the team are performing and is confident goals will return to his side.
And Le Tissier thinks that United will be disappointed to not win given the chances they created, and the youngster, in particular, will be fuming with himself for missing a glaring opportunity.
“They could not find a solution, how to break us down, and towards the end maybe they did not believe they could do it”.
PSV coach Phillip Cocu was delighted with his side’s efforts and felt United’s confidence had drained as the contest went on.

A win in Germany will send the Red Devils through, however if they fail to beat the Bundesliga side, and PSV win at home to rock-bottom CSKA Moscow, then they’re out. Tactically, we were very good. “But they are deserved at number one because points are the most important thing; goals are important, but winning points is more important”.
