Van Gaal unsure about Utd support after Stokes loss
Louis van Gaal may have given his biggest hint yet that he is willing to part company with Manchester United.

United midfielder Michael Carrick said that Van Gaal still had the support of his players.
Crystal Palace vs. Swansea, 10 a.m.
United have gone seven games without a win in all competitions and TEAMtalk’s Ian Watson feels van Gaal’s time at the club may be up.
West Ham vs. Southampton, 12:30 p.m.
Leicester, who failed to score for the first time this season, have 38 points from 18 matches with Arsenal on 36, Manchester City 35 and Tottenham 32.
Sunderland vs. Liverpool, 2:45 p.m.
A defeat to the Blues would make it five successive losses for the Red Devils, who were comfortably beaten 2-0 this morning at Stoke City.
The loss, and woeful performance, prompted further speculation about van Gaal’s reign in charge of the Old Trafford giants.
“I do my utmost best to find solutions to cope with the pressure”, Van Gaal said.
With just one day between matches, Van Gaal admits there will be little opportunity for his players to regain their fitness for the match against the Premier League champions.
According to Van Gaal the performance and result are that the players did not dare to play football in the first half and then gave a very bad goal away.
Marouane Fellaini had an opportunity to pull one back for United in the 64th minute, but he could only look to the sky after Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland pulled off a remarkable one-hand save, a reaction symbolic of an afternoon that Stoke was making its own.
Is van Gaal to blame alone?
The United manager then admitted in his post-match press conference that he could quit the club, and Bosnich insists the Dutchman’s body language highlights his current mindset.
Van Gaal is expected to be out of work later Monday if United lose to Chelsea at Old Trafford after a depressing run for the English giants which has seen them exit the Champions League and slip to sixth in the table. “I don’t think that is the sequence”. If previous reports were anything to go by, LVG may be given the boot before the end of the day.
Raheem Sterling, Yaya Toure, Wilfried Bony and Kevin de Bruyne scored as Manchester City warmed up for their trip to Leicester on Tuesday with an easy win.
A change of manager at Chelsea produced no quick-fix.
Diego Costa (32) put the hosts in front from close range following a corner, but the Hornets fought back to level with a penalty from Troy Deeney (42).
While Chelsea remains two points above the relegation zone – and 13 points from fourth place – Watford is only behind United on goal difference in seventh place. Kane now has 27 goals in 2015, surpassing Teddy Sheringham’s previous club record of 26 in a calendar year.
Crystal Palace drew 0-0 with Bournemouth, moving above Manchester United into fifth spot.

Newcastle dropped into the bottom three, behind Norwich on goal difference, after losing 1-0 to Everton following a last-gasp Tom Cleverley victor.
