Four people were killed in a highway collision with a Dallas Cowboys tour bus Sunday afternoon about 80 kilometres south of Las Vegas, according to multiple reports. The bus was carrying an undisclosed number of Cowboys staff members, but no players, according to Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple.

Emery Tyler, the Cowboys’ longtime bus driver, told Yahoo’s Eric Edholm that his passengers were shaken but otherwise unharmed.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said a van collided with the team bus about 30 miles north of Kingman on U.S. Highway 93, the main route between Phoenix and Las Vegas.

“It’s a scary thing”, Tyler said.

It was going to a fan event in Las Vegas. There were no Cowboys players on board. On his Twitter page, Spagnola tweeted before 14:00 that the bus was 128km outside of Vegas.

The two vehicles collided in the afternoon on USA 93, about 30 miles north of the city of Kingman or 180 miles northeast of Phoenix, according to DPS. The bus would then proceed to Oxnard, California for the start of National Football League training camp in two weeks, CBS affiliate KLAS reported.
