In hopes of reclaiming its sports movie legacy, Nerdist has released a frankly insane exploration of the verisimilitude of High School Musical’s basketball scenes.

In the audition, Vanessa and Zac, as Gabriella and Troy, are seen talking about what it feels like to sing with each other.

The host of the show helped Zac celebrate the 10th anniversary of High School Musical by showing a clip of the actor in his own high school musical! Boo, Zac, boo. He was the only no-show also; all of his co-stars did manage to clear the calendars for the occasion though, and I mean it’s not like they aren’t busy people either!

Ten years since the premiere of High School Musical (HSM), the cast of the Disney hit sans actor Zac Efron has gathered once again for their 10 year special which was aired last Wednesday (January 20, 2016). However, that was dwarfed by a video that his high school drama teacher sent to Jimmy.

Who can believe it’s been a whole 10 years since Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens graced our screens with their adorbs high school romance, and the Wild Cats got-to-grooving?! We also get to see Taylor and Chad’s video, or Monique Coleman and Corbin Bleu.

What Bleu finds most incredible about High School Musical is that it became a movie that young adults now associate with their childhood, a viewing experience filled with nostalgia. “Singing with you felt like that”.

Like all Disney Channel movies, and most children’s movies, HSM included little details that small children gloss over but seem completely insane when viewed by anyone over age 16.

“Yeah, and now it’s like we can go to the coffee store and like we’re completely left alone”, Hudgens said, laughing, but Coleman added: “They still want selfies with us”.
