Actress Vanessa Hudgens has revealed that her father is battling stage four cancer. Although it’s unclear exactly what type of cancer Vanessa’s dad, Greg, has, hearing that he is not well definitely has us thinking of the Hudgens family.
The event aims to give benefit to a charity called The Circle of Hope, which is focused on helping dancers who suffered from cancer, live a better life ahead of the disease. “Let me tell you, I hate cancer”. I hate cancer with every cell of my being, ‘ she explained as she got visibly choked up.
Hudgens, 26, revealed the sad news while accepting an award for Breakthrough Performer at the 2015 Industry Dance Awards in Los Angeles Wednesday night.
Their relationship flies under the radar to a fair extent compared to her previous high-profile relationship with fellow High School Musical star Zac Efron, and that seems to be just the way she likes it. Despite the heartache the two have faced this past year with parents who have waged battles against cancer, Austin and Vanessa are doing well and going strong.

This is the first time Vanessa has publicly spoken out about her father’s diagnosis – although three weeks ago, she instagrammed a photo of herself with him asking for prayers from her fans.
