Plans change in life and the UFC.

Joanne Calderwood has suffered an injury and she is off of UFC Fight Night 80, replacing her against Paige VanZant will be Rose Namajunas.
That was the season where Paige VanZant was not allowed to join the cast due to age restrictions, but she made an impact of her own when she debuted against Kailin Curran. “Everything was going great but I hurt my knee during wrestling last week and I haven’t been able to train since and we reckon it’s going to be another week before I can get back to light training which obviously isn’t idea in this stage of my camp”. She was signed as part of The Ultimate Fighter season 20 that would crown the first-ever strawweight champion for the company. Calderwood’s out. She’s out.
The bout will be the first non-title strawweight main event in UFC history. UFC Fight Night takes place at The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on December 10 and also includes a lightweight showdown between Jim Miller and Michael Chiesa.

Paige VanZant (6-1) is now on a four-fight winning streak and is coming off a third-round-armbar victory over Alex Chambers at UFC 191. The UFC on Wednesday confirmed an original report from Tuesday’s edition of the Stud Show Radio podcast. This event will kick off a three-day stretch of events that will end at UFC 194.
