Today’s share of “exploding” units comes from China, where two different smartphones have reportedly burst into flames recently, with Samsung said to be investigating at least one of the cases. The company announced about this global recall program of Galaxy Note 7 to review on the issues of faulty battery and explosion possibilities.

To help consumers figure out if their devices are part of the recall, Samsung set up this new website, where you can enter the IMEI number or serial number of your Note 7.
The device has been banned from use on most flights, with the the Federal Aviation Administration and many independent airlines (FAA) forbidding passengers from using the Note 7 on board.
The replacement for Note 7 in USA will be available from Wednesday onward. “We would like to apologize to our Note 7 customers for not meeting the standard of product excellence that they have come to expect from Samsung and we sincerely thank them for their understanding and patience”.
In its initial announcement on September 2, Samsung did not say whether consumers could continue to use the phones without danger. Samsung is really struggling with convincing users to return the Galaxy Note 7 devices they have purchased. Should you receive the update on the recalled Galaxy Note 7, you will now be welcomed by a “Safety Recall Notice” every time you reboot your phone or plug it in to charge.
Additionally, users can easily check if they are using the new Galaxy Note7 by looking for a square symbol on the label of the packaging box as below.
