Vertu launches New Signature Touch smartphone

As you would expect from a Vertu smartphone, the new Signature Touch doesn’t really stand out from the crowd in terms of internal specifications.

The new model from the European luxury brand also offers support for Quick Charge 2.0, Qi Wireless Charging, and NFC connectivity among many others.

The service has also now been extended to be complimentary on device for 18 months, and also includes Vertu LIFE, a new personalised feature that extends special and exclusive offers to customers based on their location. In this article, we’ll compare the LG Nexus 5 2015 with the upcoming Signature Touch (second generation), which has been created by the British manufacturer. Not to mention those new elegant cases, which come in two unique designs and multiple colors/materials. To support the chipset, the phone gets 4GB of RAM and a massive 64GB of built-in memory, which can further be expanded up to a massive 2TB via a microSD card slot.

The device comes equipped with a 21MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash along with a 2.1MP front facing camera. It will probably be available in shops globally beginning sixteenth October 2015.

It wasn’t all that long ago that many glitzy, luxury smartphones carried outdated software and yesteryear hardware under the hood, but it’s a different story today, at least with Vertu products. It is also a membership card that will open the doors to invitation-only events and to specially curated experiences. Next is a lizard skin smartphone in purple for US$10,100 (about AU$15,000) or black for US$11,200 (around AU$16,00). However, owners of this particular handset will be most interested in the apps developed by Vertu itself.

Another cool feature isn’t in the phone, but an included service called Vertu Dedicated Concierge. Encased in handcrafted leather and titanium, the 5.2-inch Full-HD LCD display is protected by a solid, 130-carat Sapphire crystal screen.

The handset comes as an upgrade over the existing Signature model and would be up for pre-orders at the company’s select outlets between 28 September and 8 October. And the price? Well – and we hope you’re sitting down for this – it ranges from £6,500 to £13,700 (₹6.5 lacs to ₹13.8 lacs), all depending on what custom materials you choose.
