Vettel rues costly mistake in Spa qualifying
Mercedes series leader Lewis Hamilton extended his series lead after winning by more than two seconds to his teammate and title adversary Nico Rosberg in yet another grand prix controlled by Mercedes.

“Things like that are not allowed to happen, full stop”, said Vettel. If it happens 200 metres earlier, I’m not standing here now.
“I don’t know, that’s just some stupid idea, but anything, something, needs to be done to improve it”.
“I’ll tell you what’s upsetting”.
The 2015 Belgian Grand Prix was an exceptionally represenative race of the new turbo era of Formula 1: There was never once a question of who would win or finish second, but the battle for the final spot on the podium was electric, wide open to what seemed like half a dozen entrants and not decided until the final lap.
Vettel’s right rear tyre failed on the Kemmel Straight and he was able to keep his auto away from the barriers and climb out unhurt.
Ferrari opted to gamble with a one-stop strategy at Spa, despite Pirelli recommending that teams either pit two or three times for tires across the course of the race at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Vettel made one stop, on lap 14, to switch from softs to mediums.
He said his concerns were blamed on drivers running off the racing line and off the track, causing damage to tyres.
“In November 2013, Pirelli requested that there should be rules to govern the maximum number of laps that can be driven on the same set of tyres, among other parameters to do with correct tyre usage”.
“We had something similar on Friday, without notice, so if you listen to all the excuses, the debris, the driver went off track.
We want to try and make a move early on but then we have got the whole race to recover”. Why should he lie to us? I didn’t go out of the track, just out of the blue it explodes.
“If this happened earlier then I’m f****d”.
“It’s bullsh*t”, German Vettel raged, saying the quality of the Italian brand’s tyres is “unacceptable”. I have no idea what we are waiting for.

“The last race doesn’t matter now, but it’s always disappointing when you consider I had a good feeling throughout”, said the four-times world champion, who has won twice this year. Something like this can not happen. We are not entirely sure, but on the passenger side it appears to have the optional fire extinguisher kit enclosed in a box wrapped around in black leather with red stitching.
