Tonight’s NASCAR Sprint Unlimited race at Daytona has a start time schedule of 8:00pm eastern time and will air on TV channel FOX. That is how much winning the race means.

He entered Dover fifth in the standings and, with 10 career wins at the track, seemed a lock to advance in an elimination race.
But a failure in a right rear tire on Lap 23 of a scheduled 75 laps sent Vickers out of the pack in Turn 1 and into the wall violently before he was rammed by teammate Kevin Harvick.
Vickers, who had raced as high as eighth, had by far the most damage but was able to walk away from the incident. I wasn’t sure if I would be in the Daytona 500 again and here I am. “It’s all about learning for what to do and/or what you need for the last few laps of the Daytona 500”. I was sideways on Lap 1, but it was fun.
“We have multiple partners and different considerations with our respective sponsors”, said Brett Frood, president, Stewart-Haas Racing.

Paul Menard finished third, Kyle Larson was fourth and Casey Mears was fifth.
“We had the pace, we had the equipment to make it to Homestead”, Johnson said. “Hopefully I didn’t use up all my luck before next Sunday”.

NASCAR’s oldest race team didn’t have the funds to keep up with the competition, and a scaled-back approach was what the family-owned organization felt was best for the famed No. 21 Ford. “It’s a really cool race with a lot of prestige”. There is nothing on the line. At least seven cars were caught up in the ensuing accident. “It gives you a good sense of who’s strong, who’s not”, he said.
