At least one person was killed and 37 others injured near the Paris Las Vegas Hotel on Sunday night, authorities said.

KSNV noted that law enforcement officials said Holloway’s act of driving on the sidewalk and into people walking was intentional.
“She would not explain why she drove onto the sidewalk but remembered a body bouncing off of her windshield, breaking it”, it read.
Authorities say Holloway was driving on a suspended license. He cited video footage from witnesses and nearby businesses as evidence that the crash was not an accident. The vehicle was a 1996 Oldsmobile, which Holloway was driving with a three-year-old child as passenger.
Coffee told the AP he hasn’t seen police reports yet, so it’s too early to say if she’ll pursue an insanity defense.
Police said she was homeless and had been living in the Oldsmobile for about a week before the crash.
Holloway “went up and off these streets, two or possibly three times”, Lt. Dan McGrath said, striking people on the busy sidewalk outside the Paris and Planet Hollywood casino-hotels.
More than 70 firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene, a Clark County Fire Department spokesman said.
Of the more than 30 injured, three are in critical condition, suffering from head injuries, Mr Lombardo said. Five Canadian citizens, four OR college wrestlers and five Pennsylvania wrestlers and their coach in town for a tournament were among the injured.
Initially, 34 people were taken to an area hospital for treatment, according to police.
The person killed was identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office Monday as 32-year-old Jessica Valenzuela from Buckey, Arizona. Her family has set up a GoFundMe account to pay for transportation and funeral expenses.
Holloway was under suicide watch at jail, said Deputy Clark County Public Defender Scott Coffee said.
Police and emergency crews respond to the scene after a auto drove up onto a sidewalk along Las Vegas Boulevard, Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in Las Vegas.
She faces a murder charge, while the district attorney is considering attempted murder with a deadly weapon, child abuse and leaving the scene of a crash charges.
“The video [of the incident] obviously shows intention”, the sheriff said today.
Lombardo said Holloway made statements to police about her motive but he added investigators are still collecting information on her background and trying to reach her relatives. No conditions were immediately available, Cohen said.
The sheriff said she was very stoic and didn’t appear to be “distressed” from her actions.
“She won’t be able to feel the pain that she gave to a lot of people”.
Lombardo said Holloway then drove to the Tuscany hotel-casino on Flamingo near Koval Lane, parked at the property and told a valet that she had hit several people on the Strip and that he should call 911. Officials arrested her soon after. Police believe the child’s father is in Dallas, Texas.

The vehicle could be considered a deadly weapon, Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson said.
Lombardo said other details also remain frustratingly elusive.

In the spring of 2012, Holloway received an award from a Portland career-mentoring nonprofit for being a role model for high school students, according to The Skanner, a community website in the Pacific Northwest. Her and her daughter were reportedly in Las Vegas for about a week sleeping in her vehicle.
