Victoria Justice Has Autoimmune Disorder

After reaching an all-time high weight of 115 pounds, her weight plummeted to under 100 pounds last summer.

“The the 22-year-old 5’5” actress also revealed that while she was filming a movie, her weight fluctuated by more than 15 pounds in a short period of time.

Victoria Justice told Health magazine that she was “devastated” when she started breaking out because her whole life she had great skin. She also starred in this year’s flick “Naomi + Ely’s No Kiss List” alongside her real-life boyfriend Pierson Fode.

Millions of people suffer from thyroid disorders and Victoria Justice isn’t the only Hollywood star to come forward with a Hashimoto’s diagnosis. But at the end of the day, I had the support of my family and friends.

Victoria admits her self-confidence took a knock as she dealt with the body issues in private, but she has since been able to bounce back with the help of her loved ones. “Now I really empathise with people who have issues with their skin, because it can get you down”.

“It definitely did affect my confidence, and it made me a little bit more self-conscious”, she said.

Justice said she’s still living with Hashimoto’s, but “things have leveled out” and she’s now “back to normal”. “I feel good”, she said.

Though she still has Hashimoto’s, Victoria updated everyone that she is feeling “back to normal” now – which we’re so happy to hear.

Victoria only discussed the effect Hashimoto’s had on her weight and skin, but the symptoms are varied: fatigue and sluggishness, cold sensitivity, a puffy face and hoarse voice, weight gain, muscle aches, pain or stiffness in joints, muscle weakness, depression, and hard menstruation.

Justice went on to reveal simple ways she keeps her health in check like exercise, taking daily vitamins and a 10-minute meditation session daily. It’s actually a really great workout. You feel free. It’s like, ‘Who cares?
